Gruner + Jahr and the magazine stern jointly sponsor an award for journalistic work of the highest quality in the areas of print and online publications. The annual award honors publications of the previous year. The winners are chosen by an independent jury.
The Henri Nannen Award was established by Gruner + Jahr and its weekly magazine stern to encourage quality journalism in German-speaking countries and to keep the memory of the 1996 deceased stern-founder Henri Nannen alive.
